Biography
Born in Montréal in 1967, Josée Forest is a visual artist and entrepreneur. At a very early age, she became interested in art and was motivated by all forms of creativity that went beyond conventional standards.
As there were not many opportunities in art, she turned toward an exciting, non-traditional but more secure profession. She enrolled at College Ahuntsic in the Building Mechanics program, specializing as a commercial HVAC estimator.
A woman of spirit and heart,, Forest resolutely created her own HVAC company in 1996. With her spouse, she founded a second business, which they operated together for almost 13 years, until 2009.
In 2008, her interest in art resurfaced and she began creating a number of works that quickly found their place in a Montréal gallery. Since then, she has known great success: her paintings are constantly being acquired by many renowned galleries and collectors from the business world. Forest has exhibited in many Canadian and international cities.
